Gay weddings in Thailand

Thailand is a beautiful country with incredible culture, scenery and people. Although gay wedding ceremonies in Thailand cannot yet take place legally, they could still be a special way to celebrate your love as a couple in a stunning setting. Since gay marriage was legalized in the UK many couples have legally married in Britain then followed the event with a beautiful ceremony in Thailand. This means double the celebration, double the fun and double the enjoyment! It might even be worth considering a ceremony in Thailand as part of your honeymoon – spiritually securing your union on a tropical beach.

Here are some different wedding ideas to get your planning juices flowing!

In a traditional Thai ceremony the two people getting married exchange flower garlands as an expression of their love. The garlands are beautiful and when exchanged and placed around the neck, create a truly unique wedding picture.

Get the beach involved

You must consider getting the beach involved at some point if you’ve come all the way to Thailand to get married! The coastal scenery is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of ways you can include it in your ceremony. Some companies offer ceremonies on the actual beach which could mean you’ve the chance to tie the knot with the sand between your toes! Some Resorts actually have a private beach which means you’ll not have to worry about anything other than each other during the event. You could also have a candlelit meal on the beach after the ceremony if you wanted to, or simply enjoy wedding photography with the sun, sea and sand in the background.
