Best Honeymoon Beach Destinations in Thailand

With the wedding preparations firmly in place, it’s time to plan your honeymoon! Thailand offers a number of wonderful beaches for relaxation and exploration, with intriguing sights, delicious cuisine and top-notch service. We can put together some amazing itineraries, based on your preferences, budget and travel schedule. To start, below are some of our favourite beach destinations for newly-weds.

Huahin – An easy 2.5 hour drive from Bangkok, the charming seaside town of Huahin features a long stretch of powdery sand beach, amazing seafood, interesting markets and lots of inland activities, such as golfing, kite surfing and elephant trekking. With aristocratic roots that date back to the 1920s, Huahin pulses with a nostalgic vibe amid its modern amenities.

Pranburi – About thirty minutes south of Huahin, Pranburi is ideal for couples looking for a mellow, relaxing beach area, without the raucous nightlife scene. The town boasts a number of excellent boutique hotels on the beach, which is popular for kite surfing and other water sports. Pranburi has the added advantage of being adjacent to the Khao San Roi Yot National Park, with intriguing limestone mountains, pristine beaches and semi-challenging nature hikes.

Samui – Off the east coast of Thailand’s southern region, the island of Samui can be easily reached by ferry (from Surat Thani) or plane. It is part of an archipelago of more than 80 isles that comprise the Ang Thong National Marine Park. Samui’s coast houses a number of beautiful beaches, including Chaweng, Lamai, Maenam, Bo Phut and Taling Ngam, among others. With plenty of luxury resorts, natural attractions and cultural sites, Samui is an ideal choice for honeymooners.

Krabi – Krabi province, located on the west (Andaman) coast of southern Thailand, boasts gorgeous white sand beaches, clear waters, coral reefs, caves, waterfalls and over 130 isles, including Ko Lanta and the six islands of Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. From luxuriating on the beach to island hopping and rock climbing, Krabi offers couples a wonderful setting for their honeymoon.

Phuket – For diverse beaches, luxurious accommodations and flawless hospitality, look no further than Phuket, Thailand’s largest and most cosmopolitan island. As for activities, you can join the local movers and shakers at the hottest nightspots, take a sunset cruise aboard a luxury yacht or engage in active pursuits, such as deep-sea diving and water sports, for example. Phuket also features a rich history, diverse ethnic groups and fine cuisine – you definitely won’t get bored here!
